I have six books to read before Saturday.

I have started two of them: it seemed a good idea at the time. Except I remembered that my students special event (a celebration of their work as part of Mental Health Week) is tomorrow and I'm going out tomorrow night. I'm back at my desk, too, which means that I have to do things like answer the phone, do laundry, catch up on work missed due to having far too much fun in Sydney etc.

I wonder if I should read 3 at a time?

I've set my blow-up dalek to guarding the three I'm not reading at once. I don't want the books to run away screaming, after all.

I like this article, therefore you have to read it: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/15/opinion/15mon4.html?_r=1&th&emc=th&oref=slogin

That's the logic of Gillian-with-a-cold-and-much-reading. You take the article and I'll take the books to bed and everyone will be most happy. Or mostly everyone will be happy.
