Right now I'm in update mode. History update, mainly, Conflux update soon.
The family dialogue is totally fascinating. There is so much interesting stuff and fascinating folks.
I got some of the Elsa Davis stuff wrong, but her nephew has agreed to do a guest post for us for Women's History Month next year, so that will be well worth the wait, and much more interesting than a series of corrections. The singing dog existed, but was not actually important at all. A good line spoiled, but the overall life was more interesting.
Mum and I are exploring Ikey Solomon. He's so much more interesting than either Fagin or Bryce Courteney's version. He's kinda that decade's glam criminal with a big heart. Dickens played him *such* an evil trick by basing Fagin on one of his trial records.
My mother's neighbour was born in Chelm, I have just discovered. It took me a while to sort out that she wasn't making Chelm jokes. I'm very slow and tired today.
For Foofi: the murder case was a really ick one. The woman in question was accused of murdering her blind baby, in the back of a taxi. She was acquitted.
And that's my last ten minutes. IF anyone wants an expansion of any of it (given I'm in elliptical mode) just say. Or ask at Conflux.
