The Bureau of Meteorology sent out a major weather warning today. Waterspouts have apparently been cancelled.
Anyone living inland, where the major lakes are actually ponds and where our dams are far too low, please stop laughing. The BOM meant that warning for coastal regions. Pity. I've not actually seen a waterspout, live. I've seen dawn break over polar seas and I've seen the Southern Aurora, but I've not seen a waterspout.
PS I wonder what sort of note the waterspout sent when it cancelled.
