I am very dangerous today: I am spreading a meme. Blame [livejournal.com profile] capnoblivious who infected me.

1. Reply and I'll answer the following questions about you.
2. I will tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
3. I will say something that only makes sense to you and me.
4. I will tell you my first memory of you.*
5. I will tell you what animal you remind me of.
6. I'll then tell you something that I've always wondered about you.
7. Then post this in your own journal...

*The likelihood of me being able to do this is minimal - it takes about three meetings to sort out names, so I seldom know which memory of someone comes first.

Continuum

Continuum is getting closer!!

They have a close-to-final program online at http://www.continuum.org.au/C3_program.html and it is looking good. I am tempted to buy jellybeans to throw at Zara and Stu and various other people while I look innocent and pretend to be a good audience member.

I keep remembering I am from Melbourne (Hawthorn - carn the Hawks!!)and going back there just for a conference. I did it last year and it felt strange. This year it doesn't feel as strange, because the crowd coming to this are just totally fun to be with. Anywhere. Anytime.

I still daydream about going with Ms Brite to Victoria Market, but it won't happen (for one thing, she doesn't know me...). Obviously the organisers of Continuum are sympathetic to my dreams though, cos they have me down to do a reading. I didn't volunteer because I thought everyone would have enough of me anyhow, but I am not going to object. I love reading aloud.

I don't know what to read, though. I only write 2-3 short stories a year and they are all either already published or about to be rejected. Illuminations has been out for two and a bit years. I read from The Art of Effective Dreaming at Conflux.

If anyone has anything they really like of mine and would like to hear a bit of (published, unpublished, or something somewhere in between) feel free to say. The choice ranges from dead morris dancers to Jewish demons to straight SF to Arthurian bits to a mirror that kills ants. I can do shopping sprees and horrible historians and bad romance. Sometimes it makes sense. Take your pick - let me know. Please?
