Sep. 18th, 2005 12:04 pmI am suddenly in love with the word 'bumbershoot'. Why? Because I thought it was nineteenth century, and it proves to be still current, albeit in the US. I have grand visions of eminent beings shattering decorum with "Just wait till I get my bumbershoot."
A question to New Zealanders - would you vote for a pollie who carried a bumbershoot?
I am also in love with florid and slightly misused language (just read what I write and you will see lots of examples of it). This is because I feel florid and slightly misused, having got that flu back.
