(no subject)

Today has started extraordinarily well. (Raise your hand if you realised I was being sarcastic.)

In no particular order:

I was swooped by a magpie at my back door.

The fix for the front door lock failed, so only the back door will open from outside. (I am now the proud possessor of a glorious purple anti-magpie umbrella in order to access my unit.)

I couldn't get the right bags for the prizes for tonight, so I am having to improvise.

I couldn't get the right chocolate for the prizes tonight, so I am having to improvise.

I am having a medium to high pain day, so I am grumpy.

Someone decided I had to wake up a full hour earlier than need demanded by revving a motor outside my bedroom window. After ten minutes of motor revving I realised he wasn't going to stop so I got out of bed.

And everything else is more minor still. So not a bad day, just not quite a right day. Kind of like yesterday, in fact. Except I have got all the bad-luck stuff out of the way early, I am hoping, and aplomb will follow after lunch.
