Nov. 10th, 2005 02:04 pmThis review of John Fowles' journals http://www.lrb.co.uk/v26/n09/sans01_.html makes me suspect I might be almost sane. Either that or I am not a genius. Maybe both. I am certainly not John Fowles. I love some of his writing: I doubt I would have wanted the man to come to dinner.
Can anyone else suggest other people I should invite to the literary dinner party from hell? Obviously, the guests don't need to be alive.
I need to think about what I would serve them (can be things I won't eat, because this is the literary dinner party from hell - I don't want to be a part of it, just bring the happy souls together to wreak havoc on each other).
Maybe I need a peanut gallery of observers who can comment properly on the dinner. Jane Austen and Dorothy Parker?
