Jan. 6th, 2006 08:50 pmToday was curiously strange.
This morning was full of pain. A day of cooking and chitchat and testing various recipes (margarita, latke, tail of the monkey - and others) totally redeemed the morning. Playing with the children of various friends definitely helped in the redemption (there is something wholly satisfying about being clambered over by an intent four year old making monkey noises). The friends themselves are just wonderful. Life is but a happy sigh.
I came home just now, prepared to admit to a happy day, despite its early and uncomfortable beginning. Tonight though, I had a whiff of total joy. Check this out: http://www.scalzi.com/whatever/003956.html
