I am having my quiet day. I am online for a meeting that doesn't seem to be happening, which is fine by me because it means I have finished one of my book reviews. Instead of two meetings today I have none, and a chance to catch up with myself. And to breathe. Breathing is good.

I was going to point you towards a new blog, where interesting things are being said about publishing from a small press angle. There is a post just up on the effect of public sour grapes by authors on editors, which is provocative and worth pondering. I am not posting a link, though, because the prior post is about me, and I am embarrassed. So if anyone wants to see the sour grapes post then please email me and I will post you a link.

The January episode of this rivetting drama takes place in a week. If you have come across any interesting posts that ought to be considered, send them to me or to philologa (at) gmail.com. And yes, there is still time to post that breathtaking thought you have been treasuring, to make sure it is included. You might want to post it early in the week, though, to make sure it gets noticed.
