May. 6th, 2006 06:37 pmI mentioned Henry II's ingrown toenail in class the other night. It has just dawned on me that - out of context - the ingrown toenail of a king can be almost as funny as the putrid underpants of a saint. (OK, so this is a *particular* saint. I'm perfectly certain that many saints were wonderful human beings who regularly changed their undergarments.)
Anyway, I was wondering whether anyone else carries silly bits of historical data around with them. And I was wondering if those who do would mind sharing them with me. I need distraction, given this is turning into a challenging month.
PS Students-who-read-blog: I thought I should just say 'hi' now I know you're there :).
