On academic boycotts
Jun. 5th, 2006 10:16 amI try to avoid getting too embroiled in politics on my blog, but - since I have been fuming for a while about it - I thought I should post a link on the recently-declared academic boycott. I was going to make a list of 100 countries and the denials scholars from these countries would have on their papers for publication if the policy were universal. This would have served no purpose except to keep me entertained while contemplating that not a single country I can think of is virtuous. This press release is way more sensbible than me suggesting evil disclaimers: http://www.eisinc.com/release/storiesh/SCHOLR.005.html
