Jun. 8th, 2006 05:27 pmLunch with friends is a wondrous thing. Lounging round and eating and drinking and eating more and chatting and stirring. This lunch was especially good because I don't get to see Russell or Trudi or Paul very often. We were all kinds of serious today, and engaged in no vile gossip. I learned a bunch about maps. Trudi took us shopping and we all bought chocolate and other essentials. I like Trudi's notions of what is essential!
The others are all at booksigning and dinner and I am spending the evening doing restful things, because free time will probably be non-existent for the next few days. I have enough food round so anyone who is sick of conventioning can come and have a light meal. You would have to drop heavy hints. Very heavy hints. (I am not always intelligent.) And talk someone who has a car into coming, maybe. Emergency rations include wild cucumbers, ancestral figs, kalamata olives and chocolate halva.
I find it very sad I just want to work tonight. Imagine planning an evening off then getting work-bug!
