Nearly a month ago and a month before that I was racked with migraine. I have had the migraine for the same length of time this month, but it hasn't been nearly as incapacitating. I taught fulltime on Thursday and half the day on Friday and was at a meeting for nearly three hours yesterday. My hearing is so acute I can tell you what's happening on the other side of the suburb, but there was so much less pain I didn't even realise what was happening until today. I don't know if it was the soy, or the iron, or the black cohosh, or the other stuff, but it's a massive quality-of-life difference. This stage last month I had been in bed for 3 days and couldn't even see straight. This time this month I have had half a day in bed and have done 4 hours of light editing (just today) and am only just up to taking codeine, since ibuprofen and coffee sorted most things out. I may still end up with pain and time in bed, but we are talking about many days less pain and a pain that is magnitudes less.
