(no subject)

I was doing a bit of fact checking today (I had forgotten the dates of two manuscripts I used to know better than my own name - and just as well I checked, too, because with a memory this unreliable my name is in danger of being lost forever) and I delayed work by a few minutes to admire online pictures of Medieval manuscripts. Anyhow, this one came up and it's sufficiently gruesome and medical to be of more general interest than the other stuff I was using for grand procrastination. Enjoy some medical advice from a rather different system of medicine to the current one.

News of various varieties

My other blog (yes, like my other car, which would be fine except that I don't possess even one car - which is maybe why I have two blogs?) is strange and interesting.

Kaaron Warren and Donna Hanson are not strange and interesting. They do, however, have stickers on their books. They have both won ACT publishing awards. Kaaron's was for The Grinding House and Donna's for her overview of Australian Speculative Fiction. Of course you are all clever and already own both volumes. If you don't own them, you might want to seriously think about filling this gap in your library. The only problem with Donna's book is that it has a picture of me in, but you can always scribble over it. Write "strange and interesting" on my forehead, perhaps?
