Mar. 26th, 2007 11:54 pmI just received a Convergence progress report. It reminded me I forgot to nominate anyone for a Ditmar. Sorry, folks. I meant to fill in the form, but I kept putting things off till I felt less viral and that hasn't quite happened yet and now it's too late. Instead of nominating anyone, I will use my vote wisely, I promise.
And I'm saved from costumes (I'm no good at costumes) because this year's National Convention is having a film festival instead of a dance. I can see lots of time to spend with friends opening up that evening. A mini film festival is a much easier scheduling notion for decisions about attendance for bits and pieces and drinks and wandering round cafes in search of the perfect late night coffee.
Convergence is looking more and more like a very friendly place to spend a couple of days. I rather like the thought of a National Convention that's more about friends and talking and fun than about big splendour. Not that I don't like big splendour, but this is my quiet year and I'm determined to make it my quiet and happy year and Convergence looks entirely perfect. Old friends, new friends and some fun panels. And in Melbourne, food mecca of Australia.
And now I return to my business of the evening, which is watching Buffy. I was getting all distrait about TV because there were three men to every woman in front of me and I felt insignificant. Buffy is my cure for this. When I'm cured I intend to have an Addams Family binge.
