What Gillian sounds like with a slight case of winter sniffles. I'm very excited about it because it's my first podcast interview. I'm very scared about it because people will listen and say "Well, you know you were wrong when you said such and such."

I won't be saying the same things at all on Saturday, BTW. I don't know what I'll be saying on Saturday yet, I just know I'll cover different ground to the podcast.

The Convergence program isn't finalised, which is why you haven't seen a "Where to avoid Gillian" list here yet.

11 am Where are the new dangerous visions? I will most probably be late for this panel, since my plane has to actually land and I have to get to the hotel, The other panellists are Jack Dann and Lucy Sussex, so even if my plane is late, the panel will be one of the best out there.

3 pm World Building 101 .

4 pm Ancient Food - the talk.

2 pm Subvert the dominant paradigm (alternatives to European dominated stuff).

If anyone wants to meet up with me, after the first panel or after the food talk would be good times. I'm more likely to be carrying chocolate on the first day and all polite requests result in chocolate, whether I know you or not. If you buy me a drink then you get more chocolate.
