Jun. 28th, 2007 02:45 pmToday I'm trying to sort my e-library so I can access things. Over ten years, I've had three computers and so things have got a bit random. My first aim is to at least get the culinary and pre-1650 texts and the dictionaries all on the same disk. That will make one gig of gorgeous stuff that can then be accessed for research or teaching. Everything else will fit together and can probably go - as I had planned, when I began - alphabetically, in folders.
It's much more exciting than it sounds, because I get to rediscover stuff. I just found out that I possess an electronic copy of the Babee's Book, which is a fun thing to have and will be handy for teaching, to boot.
In fact, when I'm finished and can play with my files a bit more (next week, if all goes well) then I might put samplings and thoughts up here. It's been a while since I've done anything like that. (If there's a text you always wanted to know about, tell me and if it happens to be in my little collection, I will start with it.)
