Jul. 3rd, 2007 12:24 amI just had a wonderful weekend. I intended to blog about it in detail tonight, but I got home at 10 pm and haven't quite caught up on my email even. I will catch up on my email and then I shall sleep. I rather suspect that I shan't catch up on everything that happened - I was only away 3 days but the world sems to have got on without me somewhat frenetically. Anyhow, hang in there and you might just hear about the joys of cemeteries and of shopping trips. The big thing is that I finally feel I've had time out - I only saw four friends, but my weekend with them was happy and relaxed (except for poor Chris who got me in medieval mode) and something I have needed for a while. I might have to add this 'time out' thing to my life more frequently. I'm not quit so enthusiastic about the dinner at 10.30 pm. though.
The moral of the story is: if an academic conference gets postponed, go anyway. You never know, you might get to eat fine chocolate and watch Night Stalker and discover why you like your friends.
Apologies to everyone I *didn't* see. I really, really, really needed a quiet time.
