Five more minutes and I'll have finished my teaching prep for the next few days. Three more hours and I go to photocopy the handouts. Seven more hours and I teach Living in Medieval London. All this is good.

There's something better than good in this day of mine. Gourmet olive oil. It's courtesy of the very generous Bob* of Olive Oil Passion who donated it to ProBlogger for their birthday giveaway. And I won it :)!!!

Some of you know that I'm the sort of person who - when there are 10 people and 9 prizes, I'm the one who misses out. I'm just not very lucky. Normally. In this instance, I not only won something, I won something covetable. Watch me bounce!

*He didn't even blink when he heard the winner was on the other side of the world. What's more, he sent the parcel airmail. He's a good bloke :).

I'm back in the Middle Ages. Two foodies in the class is a good thing. Another good thing is that I'm bringing hypocras next week and we start the session looking at an account of the races at Smithfield. How cool is that - alcohol and Medieval horse racing on the day of the Melbourne Cup! I have a cup lunch earlier in the day, too. Tuesday is full of strange harmonies.
