I didn't have to endure another "Dear Robyn" letter, as the Australian Electoral Commission finally decided where folks can vote this election and has posted it online. That's the good news.

The bad news is that there is no polling booth near me. They haven't replaced the one that was hosted by the now-defunct primary school. Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] casey_1 I can still vote with comfort, but my other two options* were catching a bus that goes just once an hour in each direction which would have required voting then waiting forever for the next bus or walking an intolerable distance in hot weather.

This means the election night party has been saved, thanks to one very good friend who has a car and kindliness and commonsense.

*Actually, I would have advance-voted on Wednesday after teaching, if I had to, but this is way better on *so* many fronts.

PS Aren't all of you in the US *so* jealous that we're almost through our election fever? One week to go.
