I was so tired today that I came home from teaching and fell asleep over a book. When I woke up I made a new list to work through. My previous list was the work I have to do before lunchtime tomorrow, and obviously I achieved lots and lots of it while I was asleep.

My new list was of 60s artists I half remembered from my childhood and sought them on YouTube and took myself right back to primary school. In fact, I took myself right back to about age 1 1/2. It appears I know more songs from the sixties than from the nineties. One day I must go back and find out if I can sing songs from before I was born , or if my pop music memory started when my oldest sister went to kindergarden. I suspect the latter.

My taste was very defined at that early age. I loved ballads and sugar-sweet songs. I never grew out of that, though I fell in love with all sorts of other music as I grew older. I still melt to the sounds of the Everly Brothers or Anita Bryant. Early childhood conditioning.

I had a great deal of fun in that hour of memories, and my list of work to do tonight is really quite tiny. Only eighteen items. All time dependent. I think this means I need a coffee.
