Mar. 21st, 2008 12:31 pmWe've finally got a touch of autumn weather. I've opened my sliding door wide so that my lounge room can drink in the cool air.
The lounge room looks surprisingly untidy considering I've denuded it of 1.5 cubic metres of paper and moved two big bags of teaching materials and most of my current novel-in-progess material into my bedroom. I suspect guests will have to slip off their shoes tonight and settle into the untidiness, because if I spend the whole day on trying to turn it into someone else's room I won't be making hamentaschen. What will happen to the poppyseed if I don't use it? Nothing. And it would be a very sad 'nothing' at that.
It appears the kitchen is about to heat up just as the lounge room cools down. This is why I have paper cranes and other hanging ornaments in the space between the two rooms. They will take advantage of the air currents and they will dance. Just as well I'm not Christian: dancing on Good Friday would otherwise be quite, quite wrong.
