Mar. 28th, 2008 11:36 amI've had about ten ideas for blogging today and each of them has attracted evil comments from my best friend. Apparently some of my ideas today are controversial. Apparently I'm in evil Gillian mode. Evil political Gillian mode, which is the trouble.
What triggered the whole thing was looking at Obama's family tree. There are all sorts of interesting things to be found in Obama's family tree and apparently there are deep cultural sensitivities involved and I'm in danger of opening far too many cans of whoop-ass (I love that phrase - there is no real equivalent in Aussie English).
I've decided to be respectful. After all, I don't normally put politics on my blog, and it's not my own country I was going to be so rude about. In fact, I was thankful for the restraint until the same person suggested I get a tattoo, purely so that she herself could say rude things about it. Please don't ask how tattoos came into the conversation.
