No to 3,000 words, but 'yes' to 6 hours other work this afternoon and evening. Thank goodness it was a low-level migraine and kindly allowed me to do the other work. Was? Did I say "was"? It's still a low level migraine. Tomorrow is obviously a day for not-too-heavy stuff. Anyhow, I didn't lose a day, I just lost a day of writing. Colour me mildly joyful.

[livejournal.com profile] random_alex tagged me a little while ago for the music meme. I was so embarrassed by the music that was haunting me then that I delayed obeying the tag. Things have gone downhill since then, so here are the seven songs that currently float into my brain at undesired moments. Only two clips so this post is not overburdened.

In no particular order:

The Asie section of Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade (always in my brain)

The 1970s Jaffa ad from Captain Matchbox (blame my cousins - we were looking for Jon, Trudi, and found him here)

Waltz theme from The Vision of Escarflowne (blame Conor)

The Lone Ranger opening theme (blame just having seen 3 episodes of the original series)

Amy Winehouse refusing rehab (blame her recent TV appearance)

The Beatles, Norwegian Wood (I don't know who to blame for this one - maybe me?)

Erev Shel Shoshanim (Israeli folksong) (another song always in my brain)

Who was the nice person who gave me a virus? I need to thank them. I also need to return all the symptoms: I'm bored with them already, you see.
