Sep. 8th, 2008 01:57 pmI'm trying to make the menu for the Conflux banquet look 1921ish. There is no place to put indications of gluten-free food etc - the most I can do is differentiate between vegetarian menu and meat menu (by being a bit clever, I can do it without hurting the look of the thing). Anyhow, marking down gluten free doesn't help with any other sensitivity.
I'm just going to have to hope that people *ask* me what dishes contain their particular problem-food. I really, truly hope people have the sense to ask rather than to assume I designed the menu around their particular sensitivities.
It's still a very elegant meal. I thought maybe it would diminish in elegance as it came closer, but no, it's still elegant.
