Oct. 30th, 2008 01:18 pmToday's big aims are to teach this evening and to read forty short stories and to read half a book. There is small stuff to fit in around all of that, but I have to do the big things because tomorrow is a full day's teaching, and I need to free up that amount of time.
Does knowing this change your life? Pity. Let me try something else.
A friend decided it was time for me to see the Clive Owen/Kiera Knightly King Arthur film. Of course the Arthurian aspects were a complete mess and the history was bizarre.
If they had claimed it as a fantasy world, it might have worked. Except ... I drifted off and washed dishes (this was earlier in the week, when the hot water tap was fully functional) at one stage. Washing dishes is still not comfortable for me, so for me to wash dishes rather than watch a film (when all virussed, to boot) suggests that the film is not perhaps gripping entertainment. What a waste of good actors and fine scenery.
