I have so many substantive things to do today that of course - until now - I've spent large chunks of time chasing up small things. I've finally given in and made a list of small things to chase up tomorrow, too and am finally about to knuckle down and do some solid stuff. Before dinner I have to edit something and write something and those somethings are not the same text at all.

I have strong coffee to keep my brain operating, for my body is warning of weather shifts. Not thunderstorms, just shifts. Maybe some rain or wind, or maybe that's me singing a tune from Twelfth Night, and not my body warning of weather at all. For the record, I was never a little tiny boy.

I have solved the rest of my menus for the book by asking my mother: she was highly amused. She knew I knew it and was more than somewhat entertained that I might have forgotten. None of the recipes for any other character need testing - it was all commonsense stuff that I had forgotten, like grilled haloumi or what sort of green belong with what meat.

I think I am a bit tired and need to give my brain a rest (and yes, whoever it was in the background, you can stop laughing at me now.)
