My regular colonoscopy is all set. I made a bunch of appointments today, answqered a host of hospital questions about current medication and I just have to get a referral and pick my pre-colonoscopy pack up.

Bowel cancer is endemic in my family: my father and my aunt died of it, my cousin and my other aunt had polyps and another cousin is being treated for it currently. I hate colonoscopies, but it will all be over in 2 weeks. Then I'll feel safe for a bit longer.

I'm giving a reading tomorrow at the ACT Writers' Centre. I don't give many readings. I think that this time I shall read from The Art of Effective Dreaming, given it's getting closer and closer to emerging. I don't know yet whether the reading will include dead morris dacners or somthing else. It all depends on how I feel when I make my selection.
