The closing date for banquet bookings is creeping closer and closer. One day closer, each day that passes. I'm very impressed that it does this - the closing date for buying tickets coming a day closer each day that passes...
This year it's much cheaper than last year ($52), reflecting the menu and the nature of the banquet (not an upmarket 1920s New york restaurant, but a private home on Contraband Bayou in the 1880s). There'll be plenty of food, but the service will be quite, quite different to previous years. The dessert table (yep, there will be a dessert table) will be to die for. So many testers put on so much weight to develop that dessert table!
Next year there will be no banquet at all. Two extra-good reasons for booking soon! This year, too, we're not assigning seating. You can come with friends and chat with them all night if you want, or you can find a bunch of new people and get to know them.
I can answer food questions. Or I can go to sleep. Your choice.
PS I don't know why this banquet has so many names. It just happened. Anyway, horror writers should be pleased. Also lovers of food. Also history buffs. Also anyone who has been wondering whether I was born or emerged from under a stone (my mother's coming - you can ask her).
