Oct. 24th, 2009 04:22 pmBookplates! If any of you have bought/are buying Life Through Cellophane (or any other book by me or with me in it, for that matter) and can't get to my vicinity for a signature, I have beautiful bookplates by Kathleen Jennings I can sign and send to you.
I was going to say "I'll just post them" but then someone offered a stamped self-addressed envelope and I realised that I should sit down and do the maths. Since more books are likely to be sold outside my vicinity than within signing distance, I realised it would be better if I didn't pay the postage thingie. However, if I'm sending you something else (as sometimes happens on this blog) then I'm happy to slip in the bookplate/s in the package. Also, I'll bring a bunch to the Sydney Freecon this November and to Aussiecon4 next September, so you can collect them there (without having to cart books around) or depute your much-travelled friends to pick them up for you.
I'm going to make two exceptions to the 'please send a SSAE' rule.
Firstly, for those who have bought a copy directly from Eneit Press in the last two weeks. Think of it as a small thank you for caring enough about my fiction to order early. Anyone in this position, please email me your address (even if I might already have it) - I'll check with Eneit Press, and then I'll get your bookplate/s right out to you. Let me know if you need more than one and if you want them signed in any special way.
For people who want to order from outside Australia, I shall sign a bunch and send them to Eneit Press so they can be delivered with your order (as long as that's OK with Eneit Press). These will be one per copy of Life Through Cellophane and only have my signature (no special comments) - if you want special comments etc, email me and we'll talk about what can be done.
