(no subject)

Today is exciting. Not too exciting. A broken tap fitting and a tap that ought to be able to be turned off but is sulking and a broken plunger and a shattered...I don't need to list the lot, do I? I've rung the plumber about the plumbing side and it will be fixed on Thursday. I'm getting my mostly-functional toilet fixed at the same time. I can't fix the plunger and other stuff, so I'm finding alternatives. Expresso coffee is actually nicer than plunger coffee and all I have to do is grind the beans a bit differently. I'm not sure that expresso Ethiopian coffee works or expresso coffee and chicory, so I shall delve in the darkness and find other coffee equipment when my real coffee runs out (on Thursday, coincidentally). Everything else requires a larger than usual rubbish bag and a generous shrug of the shoulders. This year is winding down all the things that went wrong over the last three years and obviously my ill-luck isn't quite spent.

My Monday reading is definitely more interesting than my Monday world-awryness.
