Jul. 31st, 2010 09:01 pmI've just spent a perfect afternoon with friends. Geekdom central, we were, with historical recipes of various sorts on the table and Peter Jackson 'exploring' the history of NZ film on the TV. I've handed over material for the Conflux cookbook to Nick and all 3 of my big immediate deadlines have been met. Llyn and I are celebrating with a rather foodie morning tomorrow.
This morning was also foodie, with a market visit. And rather geekish, with a Spanish SF film which I didn't know I needed to see until I watched it (thanks Iain!).
Oh, and I now possess Yersinius Pestis (a belated birthday present): apparently every Medievalist should have one. My ungrateful eyes looked at it and thought they saw a giant fuzzy black jelly bean. Those same eyes see Hebrew dates on LJ entries, so they are not to be trusted.
I'm going to be a happy little vegemite offline for the rest of the evening. My toes have unthawed and there's more spec fic in my immediate viewing future.
