I'm terribly grumpy today, for no good reason (except, perhaps for the whacking great ordinary headache that has finally pushed the migraine out of the way and said "My turn."). I have my lists of things to do before AussieCon and they would diminish much faster if I got past my grump and just worked through them.

I'm doing well at the various other things I had to do.

My 33 books that have to be read by this Wednesday? I've read 45 of them. If I can read two more, I shall be mostly under control. One of them has already joined my handbag, since tomorrow I shall have a trip to Braidwood to work with some cider producers and a handbag book is always good when one doesn't know if there are going to be waiting times.

I've done all the articles I had to submit before I went, which is good because I have to put some of my teaching proposals in on Monday.

Thanks to help from Jenny, I have my clothes sorted out for AussieCon. I know what panels I'm on. I haven't decided yet if I should sit queitly in the audience for panels when I teach the subject (eg the one on Medieval women) or if that would be annoying to friends on those panels. Or whether it really doesn't matter. I've decided not to propose a French Australia for the alternate history panel. I have two much more interesting (and much less done to death) alternatives.

What writing this blogpost is showing me is that
a) I ought to take some medicine and diminish the headache; and
b) my brain is all to pieces today.

I shall take some tablets and slowly work my way through my list. I shall post something useful later. Being useful will sort out my grump. It always does.

Elizabeth at Eneit Press has done a sumamry of the most recent swag of Baggage blogtour bits: http://www.eneitpress.com/blog.php?journal=1

And tomorrow I shall have the list of Canberra writers and their novels. Well, some Canberra writers and their novels. The ones who could email me details, mostly, but maybe a couple of others if I can find time to hunt details.
