Aug. 31st, 2010 05:50 pmI just this minute finished the last of the must-do work before AussieCon. There was less than there should have been because some of it was past its use-by date, but I'm so relieved to be through that particular block of work that I'm not complaining.
I've still got a few emails to answer (all the ones that need long answers, basically) and a bit more packing. Other than that, there's only a vast amount of housework and a half day's teaching between me and my first World SF Convention.
After AussieCon I'm catching up with a close friend I havent seen in 28 years. Yes, I'm finally at the stage where I can look past the next six days. Barely.
PS I was trying to explain to someone about one of the BDs I was thinking about in my comment the other day. I nearly went to the bookshelf to get that volume out. I would not have found it. Right now, it's helping make my monitor the right height. I only use the best books for such things, you'll be pleased to know.
