Nov. 27th, 2010 12:20 pmToday is strangely hedonist. I'm catching up on reading for book reviews and I have four articles I need to sort (one almost done, two half done and one wondering if it wants to twinkle into existence at all or if the correspondence it relies upon will simply not happen this week, which means that I may have to write the fourth from scratch and make it about something else entirely) and I intend to watch Basil Rathbone movies along the way. It's hedonistic because I can play with my tasks - do a bit here and a bit there, have a break to have a coffee or a lavender bath or maybe tidy a little. I've been doing so many big tasks recently and fitting so much into a day that having this degree of control is a lot of fun. Also, none of them are hard tasks. Perfect for a muggy day. By midnight much will be accomplished*, but I shall feel as if I've done nothing but potter all day long.
None of this makes up for the fact that I can't get to Nicole's cocktail party tonight (1920s cocktails!) because I have no transport. Still, it's not a bad way to spend the last days of Spring. The coffee is good, the books are good and the articles are fun. One of them, in fact, is quite evil.
Evil. Hmmm. I know exactly what replacement article I shall do so that I'm not anxiously waiting for emails. When I have evil, I need Medi-evil, to balance it. It's about time I wrote about necromancy.
*yea, even to the degree of dishes being washed
