Today's writing material was very straightforward. We decided to work at understanding something really well rather than working through a lot of book. Thus we talked about the quantum state and the impact of the observer. Someone observed how very well this works for love poetry.

Now the students are talking about owning their own copies of the book.

About a decade ago, I went into hospital to have my female bits repaired. Not an unusual occurrence for women in mid-life, but not a particularly pleasant one. Nevertheless, there’s something to be learned from everything, and in this case what was brought home to me was how far feminism has progressed since the 1960s.
