The Canberra Literary Festival (in October, I think) is going to have a science fiction panel! And it is also going to have the Romance Gauntlet - where speculative fiction writers and romance writers compete for the most interesting love scenes. The first is a sign that science fiction writers are respectable. The second is a sign that both romance and speculative fiction writers have appalling senses of humour.

I am to make the chocolate prizes for the Romance Gauntlet. Cupids and hearts and other tacky sweetness.
