Today from think.com we have a message from a student. I love it because Manon starts it "Hi history person". (I like the thought of me as "History person" - I wonder if it would be hard to costume for a masquerade?) Manon is from Melbourne and loves it completely. This was the important part of the message.

I am totally enjoying the think.com festival. I am not going to be happy when August is finished and I miss being told that "History rox"and "Chocolate rox"/ and that I have a beautful website and that Canberra roads make one dizzy by going round and round and round.

PS I keep getting messages to tell me to get rid of a few more stickies. Every day I have to say goodbye to a few friends from my think.com site and get to welcome some new ones.

This is a quick update because I checked my home page user statistics during lunchtime and some curious items emerged. Forget those poor sane souls who like my fiction or webhunt my articles, my favourite search strings this month were:

absinthe makes the heart grow fonder fairy tale
complete works of barbara cartland
how to do a jewish accent
glandular fever in toronto

OK, so the first one was probably someone webhunting my article (known to cause hilarity to 16 year old boys), but the others, if they sum up my life, sum up an odd existence that I am not quite aware of. If I were [livejournal.com profile] capnoblivious I would ask people to write a story using all those elements. Instead I am going to give in to amusement, make a cup of tea and go back to work.
