Nothing new to report, except I handled my high pain exceptionally well by taking medicine and reading yummy books and then by coming on line and enjoying a shoping spree with a friend. We found our dream handbag on sale and argued over it. Alas, over $1000 was a tad much, even for our dream handbag.

Today I am tired but hurt a bit less. I have even done some of the things that were too much work yesterday. By New Year I might have caught up with Old Year.

Alas for chocolate. The wonderful chocolate being brought for me from Melbourne won't arrive until too late for most of the sily season. That is the bad news. The good news is that I will have a full 5 kilos, so dinosaur or fairy chocolates are still entirely possible for those whose health requires them. Strictly kosher. Strictly delicious. Strictly not in time for Christmas.

If you have been wondering about my fretful tone these last few days, wonder no more. I had most of the structure for a novel in my head but it was missing two things. And the lack bugged me more than all the pain of yesterday.

I found both things (I hope) tonight. First of all, I have found out what sort of magic is going into this book and why. And so my book has a soul. A curious soul. It is turning into a fantasy with an Oprah Winfrey soul.

I should be up to revising everything else I wrote this year soon, so life could get a tad confused. Between Oprah and dangerous mirrors and blogging superheroes, I may on occasion get a trifle tangled. I will be happy though.

Now I have to watch chat shows. It is essential research :). Oprah magic. I have no idea how I will sell a novel that has an Oprah Winfrey soul and one foot in an alternate Middle Ages. I suspect, though, that I am going to have a grand time writing it.
