I keep thinking I have promised people recipes and also answers to historical food questions. I remember one promise. I promise
deborahb a scrummy historical doughnut recipe for Chanukah. Chanukah starts in a few days, Ms Biancotti, and I expect you to test the recipe once I post it!!
Anyone else? Drop gentle hints or direct reminders. Ask questions. Demand whatever needs demanding. Cos if you don't, you will be stuck with what *I* think is interesting ... and you never know where that may lead. For instance, the other day I enthusiastically told the person in charge of Conflux arrangements at Rydges how to make raw mincemeat look foul by adding worms made of marzipan.
