The name of my brother's film is "Last Stop" and he has got rid of all his grey hair and appears as someone Middle Eastern. He is one of the producers (and I knew that) but I didn't know he was acting in it as well. He has stopped calling himself "Jake Oberman" and appears on everything as "Jacob Oberman". Kid-brother accessing dignity. Should I twit him about this in April?

ArtsACT are kindly helping me wend my way to Brisbane.

And the pickles worked out well.

I will do something women's history month later on, right now I want to treasure the fact that I actually have a DVD with my brother on. And that my Brisbane trip is fully financed. And that I have yummy pickles for moments of need. I need more time to gloat.

Today's women's history month thought is really for researchers. There is this library, you see, here: http://www.jessiestreetwomenslibrary.com/

It has the most amazing archives.

If you know anyone who is even thinking of researching modern politics and women's involvement therein, or international issues and the participation of women in decision-making, check out the Jessie Street Library. It has a bunch of other things, but these are the subjects I know.

If you aren't researching and you just want information about some of the more interesting women in our history, check out their fact files: http://203.147.135.214/wia.html My favorites of the minute are Faith Bandler, Tilly Devine and Miles Franklin. I keep imagining them at the same dinner table.

You can find more fascinating women and onward links here: http://www.womenaustralia.info/

And, for US friends, this is not a bad place to start: http://www.mtsu.edu/~kmiddlet/history/women/wh-timeline.html
