I thought you'd like to know the titles of *all* the books within a foot of my desk. Only three are waiting to be reviewed. Some live there. Some have been working there and need to go away. Some are still working there. Some are telling me they want to work and several are waiting for me to tidy my books so I can add others to the pile and then write articles on all the books in a particular pile. Some have snuck there for when I need time out. If this list changes your life, please say.

Would you believe the one book I *need* tonight isn't in the various piles by my desk? Lots of tomes and papers have been sorted and shelved and thoughtfully disposed of in other parts of the room during that tragic twenty minutes when I looked for the missing volume. I managed to cause forty books to topple wildly over the floor and I apologised to them nicely and restacked them gently. All to no avail. Maybe if I have an early night it will come out of hiding tomorrow morning?
