Jan. 7th, 2007 01:59 pmToday's juggling act is on one foot.
Last night my neighbor's children decided to visit and parked outside my bedroom window. They visited well after midnight and I had just turned off the lights and was almost asleep. By the time they had finished chatting, worked out there were people nearby then muted conversation to a whisper I was thoroughly awake again, so I read for a bit. I was just at that almost-asleep stage around 2 am and they left, talking at full voice. I slammed my window shut and sulked in the book for twenty more minutes. When I finally slept it was in a stuffy room with a closed window (and no bushfire air to justify it!), I didn't want to wake up and I lost half the day. My legs seem to have forgotten that they're allowed to move under their own steam: everything outside the house can wait till tomorrow. Today I'll focus on housework and essentials. I'm sorting out the energy level stuff slowly and gently.
My big deadline has changed, too. Battlestar Galactica starts again tonight. It's at an unholy time and I might have to find another way to see it after this week. But since I unintentionally stayed up till after 2 last night, I can surely watch BSG tonight? As long as I finish all my computer-based work, that is. And as long as I wake up. You can tell by this post that waking up hasn't quite happened yet.
