Aug. 7th, 2007 09:29 pmI suddenly realise why I had the need to quote Elizabeth yesterday.
She wrote a letter on July 19 1586 to Robert Dudley. It starts "I am afraid you will suppose by my wandering writings that a midsummer moon hath taken large possession of my brains this month, but you must needs take things as they come into my head, though order be left behind me."
I think I would like a tee-shirt that says this, so that random strangers encountering me are prepared for thoughts travelling in curious directions. Today I've covered three different universes, just dealing with daily affairs. Everything from sorting out that chocolate is necessary to a Melbourne visit, to kidnapping my nieces, to being questioned about asking one writer serious questions at the Conflux Minicon while another was given a series of jokes (said writers can identify themselves), to watching Godzilla, to cooking chicken rendang and salep, to watching hordes of very confused ants, to working on Conflux, to having a brilliant plot insight for when I find time to write (New Ceres needs a soupcon of witchcraft, I think). And that was just a small portion of this evening!
Tomorrow is all meetings and mourning. I even have one of my meetings in the morning.
