Apr. 17th, 2008 11:05 pmTeaching is finished for the term. I don't know if this is a big announcement or not.
Do you want a big announcement? The only one I can think of is that every single one of those students were very, very good cooks. Tonight we had two types of gumbo and a cup of syllabub. We had iced tea to go with the gumbo and malmsey to go with the syllabub, but that was largely coincidental as I had completely forgotten to check the list of who was bringing what food. There is no more iced tea, but there's enough malmesy left for me to torture more uinsuspecting students with the story of George (who was definitely not the brightest Plantagenet). Tonight they got my Richard I sugarcane story as well.
In a few minutes I start preparing for next term's teaching. It's Medieval, but without Richard and without George. Unless they get sex-changed by stray time travellers.
