(no subject)
May. 25th, 2008 04:22 pmI'm round and red and bouncy. Gillian-the-rubber-ball. The roundness and redness are the result of low level allergies (not as bad as earlier in the year, but still adding significantly to the level of chaos in my life, also leaving me without much skin on the face, neck and at the back of my knees) but I have no idea where the bounce came from. There was enough of it a half hour ago so I sorted through piles of notes and now know the location of the articles I consulted for my work on how modern writers view the Middle Ages and also where much of my Richard III stuff is. The latter is especially good, as I've been asked to guest-argue somewhere later in the year on the subject of that monarch.
My rest-of-afternoon will be spent watching a cooking show from the US. It hasn't actually aired in the US yet and I'll be blogging it on my other blog either tonight or during the week. It's strange to have a review copy for a TV program that will never be seen in Australia. In fact, it's strange to have the equivalent of a review copy for a TV progam full stop.
I have a big question of the day today. It was going to be about the location of all sorts of paper, but you can't have a big question when the location is discovered. My keys are still missing, so that's a perpetual question rather than a big one. This leaves the only possible big question as: if I eat beetroot do I become even rounder and even redder? And does beetroot aid bounce?
