Jun. 6th, 2008 04:56 pmI'm working from my armchair today. The little bundle of joy that is my eee pc is perfect for slow writing, where my brain must engage. Not that my brain has engaged for this blogpost. This is because I type a few words and then lean back and rest my neck. I suspect my neck is getting extra rests because I'm watching a DVD at the same time and because touch-typing is still slow for me on g'eeek (my eee pc has a name, just like my rugs have names. One of my sisters has given me strange looks for much of my life over my tendency to anthropomorphise, but computers do behave better when treated humanely.
Today is the day for catching up. I've done six of the nineteen things I absolutely have to do. Except I've just decided to leave two of them till tomorrow morning. Two items take fortitude of the neck and that's something I'm lacking this week. Mind you, I often lack fortitude of the brain, but I seem to cope anyhow.
PS 'Anthropomorphise' is my word for today. Tomorrow's shall be 'excursus'. By Sunday my language shall be intolerably turgid.
