Jul. 30th, 2008 03:41 pmMy poor, poor students.
This morning I discovered (by chance) that they didn't know rhyming slang. One student out of the whole class knew one phrase. He asked "Do you mean 'Have a Dad and Dave?" I nearly jumped with joy.
Now they can all write in rhyming slang. Not much, because I myself only know seven phrases. Enough, though, to confuse and confound.
If only I knew more phrases, then we could all be even more confusing and confounding. (Was that hint strong enough? Or do I need to ask directly?)
