Oct. 13th, 2008 02:44 pmSummer is coming. How do I know? There are thunderstorms coming from the west. They may not get here, but they will definitely hit Culcairn. This is what happened last time I got these particular aches. The Lilleys got the rain and I got the pain.
I want the storm to reach Canberra this time. I want some sound and fury to signify that weather-sense is worth something.
The Sydney course is not happening this weekend - there will be something totally exciting next year in its stead. Watch this space for details. Just don't watch it for a little, because this year has to happen first. This week, too. I may not be teaching on Saturday or Sunday, but I am most certainly teaching on Wednesday and Thursday.
And it's Sukkot from tonight. I wonder if I can wing a Sydney picnic using Sukkot as an excuse? This is such a perfect time of year for a picnic in Sydney. In an ideal world, it would be a graveyard picnic at dusk with horror-writers.
