I'll tell you everyone's (in this instance meaning 'everyone who commented') favourite bushrangers tomorrow.

Today I'm not going to tell you about several things from today. I'm not going to tell you about the weather, about 7 hours work on Masques (already - more to come), about apricots, about my attempts to drink much coffee, about my distinguished efforts to find a table under a stack of paper, about my swollen legs, about my sad addiction to Eureka (so I'm watching the first season again, why is this a problem?), about how much fun Benjamin Franklin's autobiography is or about my rather interesting mail. I might blog about bits of the mail in my food history place, later.

Instead I shall quietly confide that once the novels are safely in print, I'm going to catch up on some Medieval stuff. I want to finish my working list of herbs from herbals, for one thing (I have the names, but not enough evidence from other sources on their uses and possibly availability in different places) - this alone could take years, if I were going to make it complete. I'm not, though. I'm just going to add in the stuff from Tony Hunt's Anglo-Norman medicine. Then I have other topics - I'm three years out of date in some of the areas I teach and this is intolerable (and besides, it lowers the quality of my life) - and they're all awesome and fun and fascinating.

What does this mean for my blog? Why, curious tidbits of information about the byways I happen upon might just randomly appear. Until then, you'll just have to manage with bushrangers, dead morris dancers, strange ants, stranger mirrors and the minutiae of my daily existence. All my history until then will be conducted on my food history blog, because most of it will be menu research, and most of that will be for Conflux.

And that, folks, was my January work stocktake, posted here for your joy and delectation.
